Dutch-born stallion Irish Whiskey Z was approved at the 2015 selection in Westphalia, where he was accepted with much enthusiasm. During qualification, he displayed a fantastic stallion model and moved with great elevation. He was also one of the most interesting stallions of his age group in the free jumping event.
His lineage consists of Belgian sire Darco, who was the leader of the WBFSH ranking for showjumping horse suppliers for 6-yr-olds, and dam Votoska Z. Famous Darco products are, of course, the Olympic horses King Darco, Otterongo, Sapphire and Parco, and more recently Winningmood HH, Copin vd Broy and Forever. Votoska’s sire, Voltaire, became world-famous as a sire thanks to Kannan, Concorde, Helios and Rackel Chavannaise among others. Grandam Droska (Notaris), Votoska’s dam, has excellent credentials as dam of the KWPN licensed stallions Pierrot and the 1.55m level horse Avant Royal Rose ridden by Ellen Whitaker.
Whiskey then began his show carrier in Belgium before being imported to the US in 2018. He showed exceptional talent and great ability under saddle at AA shows around the West Coast, with numerous clear rounds in the 6-yr-olds 1m25 classes. He is getting ready for the 7-yr-old classes in 2020. Whiskey’s character is fantastic, he has no stallion attitude at all and is a pleasure to ride everyday. His eagerness to learn is equally very impressive. We are really excited to follow the development of this young prospect as he realizes his potential as he grows. He will also participate in hunter classes and equitation classes in 2020
